Spicy Tuna Rolls

  • 1/2 Current Tuna filet
  • 1 cup of prepared sushi rice, seasoned with:
    • rice vinegar
    • sugar
    • salt
  • 1 package of nori seaweed
  • ½ cup of sliced avocado
  • ½ cup of sliced cucumber
  • 1 avocado – diced
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon black sesame seeds


  1. In a small bowl, whisk together sriracha and mayonnaise. Cut Current Tuna filet into strips, lengthwise. Add Current Tuna strips and toss to ensure all strips have an even coating of marinade.
  2. Place sushi rice on the nori seaweed sheet and spread across the seaweed evenly. Flip onto a sushi rolling mat so that the nori and sushi rice is facing upward.
  3. Place a row of avocado, cucumber, and Current Tuna strips on top of the nori and use the mat to roll tightly. Press the border to seal.
  4. Cut the roll into pieces and decorate with black sesame seeds.


Don’t have a sushi mat? A tea towel will also do in a pinch. Fold the tea towel half lengthwise and lay flat on a counter. Cover it in plastic wrap, use it as you would a sushi mat.
